This ministry provides members of the parish with a true opportunity to function as lay ministers by reverently assisting the celebrant and/or deacon during all liturgies, including Sunday Mass, daily Mass, funerals, weddings, and special liturgies throughout the year. Training is being planned for fall 2016.
Readers / Lectors
Readers proclaim the Word of God at all liturgies clearly and understandably so that all who hear may respond.
The Ministry of Music provides music during most liturgies, including weekend Masses, holy days, weddings, and funerals. Parishioners are invited to share their musical talents with the rest of the congregation through this ministry. Come speak to a choir member after Mass if you are interested. We'd love to have you join us!
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist serve by taking communion to parishioners who reside in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in their own homes and unable to attend Mass. They also may assist the priest in distributing the Eucharist at Mass. Training is being planned for fall 2016.
Ushers & Greeters
Being a welcoming community is very important to us. Ushers and greeters are the first face of the parish. They greet those coming into our church, offer assistance to those in need, distribute parish bulletins, take up the collection, and distribute other materials as needed. If you or your organization would like to participate in this ministry, please contact a current usher and offer your services.
Sacristans assist, facilitate, and provide support and coordination for other liturgical ministries. In addition, they make the necessary preparations for liturgical activities.
